SQLMan is a maintenace system for SQL databases from the Web. Maintenance utilities for databases are, currently, limited. This utility has born as a way to fill a need for the development of other applications to SQL databases on PostgreSQL. The maintenance system of the main FrontEnd for this database, dbAdmin does not support editing when the table does not have OIDs. Later, in some cases it appear the needed to modify data on roaming when there were already Smartphones and .... the tool was there and it was perfect for this purpose.
SQLMan has an access panel for standard SQL database application, user and password. You can then select the table to which you want to access. The data in this table are displayed as a list, allowing you to selections. Once the desired data are located, you can edit the full row.
It is also an appropriate tool for certain applications on-line, as it allows editing with a mask, so that the administrator can design a template or mask to customize the presentation, and may let to change only some of the data. Of course, these templates can be made with a custom design, giving the feel of an application form on-line measurement..
The server needed for this application must be Linux RHEL, CentOS, or Debian with Apache httpd server. The database can be in the same or another server. The product is delivered compiled to 32 and 64 bits, and only is needed to install it in a folder with execute access as a CGI program.
